2017 Csa Week 16 Glenn and i did a big scout of part of the farm and found the broccoli is finally sizing up. i don’t think you will see any this week, but i imagine it will happen in the coming weeks. hopefully you have all the fixings for a nice salsa in your box!. Our summer onions were harvested this week and they will be sun curing in the greenhouse so any onions you receive after this week do not need to be refrigerated once they have a dry skin. in fact we will be skipping onions this week in order to give them time to cure and dry down. Csa 2017 week #10 july 31, 2017 potatoes are here! we grow about a dozen different types of potatoes, all full of flavor and freshly dug for you. this week we have our first early season variety called red norland. it has red skin and white flesh. don't peel them! we wash them here…. A busy week that brought a couple of surprises with it. the plastic that covers the high tunnel got a 50 foot wide hole blown in it during the high winds we experienced early sunday morning and a fox came to the farm for an unannounced visit one afternoon, mainly to see our flock of chickens.
2017 Csa Week 4 Csa 2017 week #10 july 31, 2017 potatoes are here! we grow about a dozen different types of potatoes, all full of flavor and freshly dug for you. this week we have our first early season variety called red norland. it has red skin and white flesh. don't peel them! we wash them here…. This week of csa officially marks the middle of the standard season! it’s been a bit of a tumultuous year but i think we’ve found our center now and we’re so excited that everything is going smoothly….for the most part.
