June 8th Central Nebraska Tornadic Supercells June 8th would provide us with ample opportunities to intercept numerous severe thunderstorms in central nebraska. by mid afternoon several intense supercells formed along a weak front. two storms became tornado warned as they spun across the region near anselmo. June 8th Central Nebraska Tornadic Supercells Severe weather erupted across nebraska late in the afternoon on monday, june 8. several supercells developed across central into southwest nebraska dropping. Models that day had it right north of brady nebraska then for it to develop and move north northeast. some of the models had it a little bit further north and that was exactly why i was in the thedford halsey nebraska area to start. After two largely disappointing chase days on june 6th and 7th, june 8th was shaping up to be a nice day for a few pretty supercells and maybe a tornado or two. we got far more than we expected with perhaps the best structure i’ve ever seen in my 15 years of chasing. June 12th Wyoming And Nebraska Tornadic Supercells After two largely disappointing chase days on june 6th and 7th, june 8th was shaping up to be a nice day for a few pretty supercells and maybe a tornado or two. we got far more than we expected with perhaps the best structure i’ve ever seen in my 15 years of chasing. Just inside nebraska, a good sized storm base was nearly overhead and then some very strong westerly winds were blowing. it appeared that the storm might be fixin’ to produce a significant tornado not too far to our northeast.
