So i quite literally travel 2 hours to see my do pcp. but i can imagine those not willing to travel, especially when you know more than the noctor you're dealing with and just need them to comply with whatever you're asking for since that's what np's specialize in.

My understanding is that the role of nps and pas was to free up doctors and provide care in rural or lower acuity settings. which sounds good in theory but it seems like the schools have taken it as an opportunity to profit on as many students as possible without providing any substantive education. I’m not sure if they’re a noctor because i haven’t spoken to them in years, but the absolute garbage everyone spouts about them is enough for me. “you should be an anesthesiologist like (crna) instead of … whatever you’re doing now!”.
