There is a bit of a hub bub on tdi club forum about intake clogging on the tdi. in short, many tdi drivers are seeing pretty significant clogging of the egr valve and intake passages caused by soot from the exhaust gas sticking to the slight oil deposits left by the ccv.

For anyone that hasn’t seen my other posts, i have been experimenting on blocking off the majority of the egr flow into the intake plenum of our 1st gen v6 tdi. not that we had much build up in our intake @ 1 16” with 176kms but more so to keep some heat from entering the intake during egr request.
