Egr2 Tdiclub Forums Events, gatherings, clubs want to meet other tdi members face to face? going to a vw event? why not try and organize meeting some new faces and putting faces to our usernames? this forum is for organizing meetings and events with other tdi fans. Took a lot longer than anticipated but that's because i wanted to remove everything which included the egr cooler. it took a lot of weight and complexity out of the system for sure.
Egr2 Tdiclub Forums I have vw golf 2.0 tdi 140hp and i did an egr delete (both mechanically and software). the check engine light is now off, but my glow plug light is blinking while driving. The egr system consists of the egr valve which directs exhaust gases from the exhaust turbo to the inlet manifold, and a control valve which actuates the system according to engine load and speed. The dpf light recently came on in my car today, and i'm kind of worried that the engine might get damaged if i can't fix it, but, the check engine light has been on for the codes p045f and p045e for a while, and has not gone into limp mode, or reduced running performance. I am thinking the only option i really now have is to get a dpf delete from the same guy who did the egr which will cost me £350. i am just concerned for the implications of the dpf delete for engine life. The egr valve, if it is working correctly, will duty cycle as requested. a simple check is to run the engine for a bit, enough to get some heat in it, and let it idle and watch the maf actual vs. requested. they should match, and that means the egr valve is working. Any ways can you correct me if i'm wrong. the egr is used to recirculate to burnt fuel to the intake to be reburnt. there are 2 valves in the egr.
