Classical Studies Minor Uncw The minor program at uncw offers courses in both the latin language and classical civilization. the language courses take you through the fundamentals of latin grammar in two semesters and provide a further two semesters for in depth reading of individual works. The college of humanities, social sciences, and the arts offers an interdisciplinary minor in classical studies. the minor provides students with a multifaceted understanding of the civilizations of ancient greece and rome, as well as of the western foundations of modern intellectual traditions.

Courses also include the study of american sign language, arabic, chinese, and italian. at the graduate level we provide opportunities for a certificate program in spanish, a master of arts in spanish, and a 3 2 bachelor master combination.
