Interested In Becoming A Georgia Legislative Intern Tlip has provided more than 700 students valuable experiences in the texas legislature, the offices of the texas governor, lieutenant governor, and the chief justice of the supreme court, city and county offices, and even texas monthly magazine. Stephen f. austin state university’s legislative internship program provides a hands on, once in a lifetime opportunity to see state government in action. through an internship in austin, students gain insights into the workings of the texas legislature during the regular session.
2026 Georgia Legislative Internship Program This program provides academic, professional and practical support for students while they intern in a state legislative or senatorial office for a full semester. The department of politics at the university of dallas offers the state legislative internship program for junior and senior politics majors during sessions of the texas legislature (from the second week of january through the end of may during every odd numbered year). It is our goal to give the tlipers (as they are known) an in depth experience in the fast paced, texas legislative process. tlipers receive enhanced training and support throughout session to develop their skills and expand their career network.
