The young writers collective was a writing group for young people aged 18 – 30 and living in south east london. the programme was active between october and april.

Young Writers Collective To combat the decline in reading & writing prevalence in the youth and lack of creative writing content in school curriculums, the collective aims at re instilling a passion and purpose through engaging workshops, self publishing consulting, and competitive opportunities. Facilitated by graduate members of the young writers groups, the philosophy of the collective is to offer stimulating writing prompts, provide thoughtful and constructive feedback, support each other's writing, and build a diverse and inclusive community of young writers in the illawarra. Our mission here is to support you in your writing journey. whether you’re a first time writer who jots things down on napkins, someone who’s had multiple original works produced, or both— we want to encourage you to have conversations and collaborate with fellow young writers everywhere.
