Social Inequalities Cancer Atlas For cancer, inequalities in the cancer burden may exist throughout the entire continuum: from prevention, early diagnosis and detection, to the likelihood of receiving and accessing timely and effective cancer treatment, to accessing palliative care. The mechanisms and the context underlying social inequalities in the risk factors for cancer and health care access, and consequently cancer outcomes, are discussed in part 2 of this publication.

Cancer Inequalities Social Inequalities Analyze social inequalities in cancer incidence and mortality and discuss their implications for public health policies using population based data. a study was conducted in campinas, brazil, using data from the population based cancer registry and the mortality information system from 2010 to 2019. Social and socioeconomic inequalities may have a variable impact across countries, across specific cancer types, and along the cancer continuum, from the accumulation of risk factors to timely diagnosis, treatment, and survival. Sic was established to determine pathways through which socioeconomic position affects morbidity and mortality, in particular common subtypes of cancer. data from seven well established cohort studies from denmark were pooled. Our study aims to evaluate the strength and quality of evidence from systematic reviews investigating associations between social factors and cancer incidence, survival, and mortality to help policy makers reduce existing social inequalities in the burden of cancer.

Our study aims to evaluate the strength and quality of evidence from systematic reviews investigating associations between social factors and cancer incidence, survival, and mortality to help policy makers reduce existing social inequalities in the burden of cancer. With population ageing and growth, and changes in exposure to risk factors, projections predict 35 million new cancer cases in 2050. behind these grim numbers, there are massive differences and inequalities between countries but also within countries. Explore the global cancer burden in terms of incidence, mortality, prevalence, and survival for each major world region as well as by human development index. discover effective interventions across the cancer continuum, from prevention to early detection, treatment, and palliative care. These issues are described in reducing social inequalities in cancer: evidence and priorities for research (iarc scientific publication no. 168), and understanding them is essential to inform local and supranational planning for cancer control interventions. The global agenda to reduce social inequalities in cancer aligns perfectly with the united nations sustainable development goals. this volume serves as a foundation for collaborative research activities on social inequalities in cancer worldwide.
