Queer Maps One Archives One archives is the oldest continuing lgbtq organization in the united states, and the largest repository of lgbtq materials in the world. Queer terrains is an ongoing project that places and contextualizes materials from one archives at the usc libraries on an interactive map. using the map you can get a glimpse of the breadth and depth of one archives’s collections and explore los angeles lgbtq history.
Queer Maps One Archives Gallery Museum One institute is a leading producer of intersectional lgbtq history, arts, and cultural content in los angeles. in 2023, one institute launched circa, the first and only queer histories festival in the country, in honor of lgbtq history month. It's been used in a class curriculum at usc, by creative directors and program curators, and its database was used to help the one archives develop their queer terrains program. queer maps continues to be free to use. A rich map of published addresses of active lgbtq bars, nightclubs, organizations, etc. from 1871 2018. One national gay & lesbian archives at the usc libraries is the largest repository of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (lgbtq) materials in the world.

One inc. was the umbrella organization that contained one magazine, the one institute, and one archives. 1988: igla moves to a space owned by the city of west hollywood at 626 north robertson boulevard (the current location of the one archives gallery & museum). 1983: one inc. moves into the milbank estate at 3340 country club drive purchased by philanthropist reed erickson. soon after, for reasons uncertain, erickson seeks to have one removed from the estate. 1984: the national gay archives is renamed the international gay & lesbian archives (igla).
