No Opencl Devices Issue 4327 Openwall John Github
No Opencl Devices Issue 4327 Openwall John Github Please note that our use of github is primarily to track issues for us to fix in jtr, not to provide user support. we have the john users mailing list for the latter. This looks a lot like github openwall john issues 5709 however that workaround has been applied in the bleeding edge release that i am using. instead of the output being (cmp one(1)) in my case it is (crypt all(1) = 0). does anyone have any idea what the problem is or how i might fix it? i have.
No Opencl Devices Issue 4327 Openwall John Github What i am trying to do is put my gpu to use to run john on a password file. the john documentation recommended to use the git link and compile with opencl support. What can i do to use my gpu, appreciate for your help. this is probably an instance of #4327, so please try the workaround from there. longer term, we should fix #2133. mid term, we could want to update our documentation (perhaps readme opencl and install windows) to include the workaround. @claudioandre br what do you think?. I think we should be producing a proper error message. i didn't specify a device option, yet the current error message speaks about it. agreed.

We no longer depend on opencl library nor headers being available on the system at build time (we load the library dynamically at runtime, and we use our own copy of the headers), but we still check for both in configure and don't enable opencl support if either or both are missing. That's a support issue and this is not a support forum. you would have known if you would have cared to read just a few couple of sentences before wasting our time. I have a problem with my nvidia video card. after i enter the command john list=opencl devices i get the following message device #0 (1) name: nvidia geforce rtx 2060. max. gprs work group: 65536. i don't understand why this line appears, it means that i can only use version 1.2 of opencl. Error: no opencl capable devices were detected by the installed opencl driver. any idea what i need to do to enable opencl support?.
