There are so many ways to clone. it's all preference and just making sure stuff is symmetrical and lined up with instances. that's why i highly recommend main module & cell groups, and then using the cloning window under setup. i have my groups made. i'm just tryna math it out. Try disconnecting the nodes and maybe turn off the network protocols and resetting the switch, then see if they can join. seems unlikely this would be part of it but could be the switch having an issue with whatever protocol you are using. act does have tech support that you can call as well. Ma2 cloning 3d positions? hey everybody, i'm playing around with ma in this time off and wanted to try another fixture. i cloned the new fixture onto the old one, but it doesn't change the new fixtures position in ma3d. is there any way to copy 3d data from one fixture to another, so i don't have to arrange everything by hand again?. When working with multi instance fixtures, it's best to create groups of the individual instances so for the auras, all the x.1 fixtures and all the x.2 fixtures. this can easily be done using matricks. My preferred lighting console is eos, but work doesn't have much for the selection, so i've been working with ma2 a lot recently. i already have a color creator macro, but was wondering if there are any other macros out there that can make the startup process of programming a show go a bit faster. Now after i've done this, ma automatically assigns the fixture id and channel id to match the previous. but of course the program won't allow you to have two fixtures at the same patch address.
