Practice Toolkit The advanced practice toolkit is intended as a set of evidence based guidance on supporting an advanced practice workforce. the toolkit is set out as a series of tips, supported by the evidence base. it is not intended to be read cover to cover, and each chapter stands alone. supporting advanced practice in primary care: what can we do? 1. This toolkit can be used by anyone working in or aspiring to work in advanced practice. practitioners, educators and managers will find this a useful resource that provides easy to access relevant information and links in one place.
Advanced Practice Toolkit Home This tool kit and the templates included are designed to assist people in planning around these key areas, and may be amended to the specific requirements of the service. This toolkit has been created as a repository for consistent, credible and helpful resources relating to advanced practice. The refreshed toolkit aims to support the professional development of advanced practitioners in nursing, midwifery, allied health professions and pharmacy across the four pillars of practice. The toolkit includes a variety of resources, tools and activities to guide healthcare teams through the peppa framework. although the design focuses on apn roles, the same framework can be applied to various nursing roles and healthcare providers in other disciplines.

This novel toolkit, developed to meet the needs of advanced practitioners in one organisation, has gained interest nationally and internationally, with many positive comments received about how simple it is to use. This third version of the multi professional advanced practice research toolkit (gaskin 2023) aims to unify the content of the toolkit with the multi professional practice based research capabilities framework (nhse 2024) and the multi professional framework for advanced clinical practice (hee 2017). Nhs scotland has launched a website version of the advanced nursing practice toolkit, which contains a range of information and resources about advanced nursing practice.
