Youth Programs Vietaid Vietaid youth programs provide academic and enrichment activities for first through eighth graders and leadership development, college access career exploration and employment opportunities for high school youth. Founded in 1994, vietaid is the nation’s first and only community development corporation founded and operated by vietnamese refugees and immigrants and addresses many of the daily challenges.
Youth Programs Vietaid This mission is anchored by four basic goals: to engage vietnamese residents in community organizing efforts to promote economic development and self sufficiency to build affordable housing for residents to foster youth leadership. Vietaid is the only program in massachusetts that provides home buying counseling in vietnamese. we have assisted over 400 families through housing counseling programs and certified approximately 633 limited english proficient individuals in our ten hour workshops. Vietaid aims to build a strong vietnamese american community through civic engagement, community building, building affordable housing, child care services and supporting small businesses.

Vovinam, a vietnamese martial arts, is a sport and a way of life to develop character and empower youth. the center currently has more than 10 trainers and approximately 100 disciples from 6 to 60 years old practicing at vacc on thursdays, fridays, saturdays and sundays. Implemented an after school program to enrich the educational experience of vietnamese youth in the community. the program continues as a summer program after bps lets out. The vacc houses vietaid’s day care program, which serves 58 pre school age children, as well as our vspy and vala programs, with 65 70 children in the afterschool program and as many as 120 children here during summer months.
