The awards, sponsored by fbd, were presented to the top graduates of teagasc level 6 agriculture, horticulture, equine and forestry training programmes in 2023. Kevin rohan, rathorgan, dungourney received the cultivate student of the year award kevin was deemed to have contributed the most during the course. The green cert is the basic agricultural qualification necessary to qualify as a young, trained farmer. on completion of the green cert course, students meet the requirements of a qualified farmer for the purposes of all revenue and department of agriculture (dafm) schemes.
