Young Ambassadors Sport First The sport for development field continues to evolve toward stronger accountability, youth participation and partnership driven models. embedding young leaders within organisational representation is one practical way to reflect these principles in action. Now in her last year of school, chloe is still a young ambassador and continues to work hard to ensure all the pupils in her school have the opportunity to participate in sport. Young Ambassadors Sport First Young ambassadors celebrating inclusivity during scottish disability sport week 2023. Each year, two pupils from each secondary school in scotland are chosen as young ambassadors to promote sport, and motivate and inspire other young people to get involved in sport in their schools, clubs and local communities. The young ambassador delivery team, who travelled from across scotland, have a wide range of backgrounds and experience and are united by a shared goal: to inspire other young people to get active, enjoy sport, and experience the benefits of sport and physical activity. In order to get the clubs up and running in the first month of the new school year, we immediately created a survey about what sports and clubs people would like to see. Chloe attended the young ambassador conference at hampden where she met like minded young people and was inspired by others’ experiences. “i felt like i left that event really motivated to make a difference and ensure that no one feels left out in school sport,” she shared.
