Wildfire Resilience Program Shone Farm The program operates out of the shone farm campus of the santa rosa junior college (srjc) and offers paid internships, college credit, and a wildfire resilience certificate in the natural resource management program at srjc. The wildfire resilience program (wrp) at santa rosa junior college, based at shone farm, offers immersive hands on training in natural resources land management tailored to prepare students for ecological fire stewardship. Work based learning arrangements, including paid internships at srjc’s shone farm, a 365 acre outdoor learning laboratory, will help students hone their skills. students also will learn from community partners conducting wildfire resilience work in high need areas of the county. Volunteer Student Opportunities Shone Farm Work based learning arrangements, including paid internships at srjc’s shone farm, a 365 acre outdoor learning laboratory, will help students hone their skills. students also will learn from community partners conducting wildfire resilience work in high need areas of the county. Students also have the opportunity to hone their skills in a variety of work based learning arrangements, including paid internships at srjc’s shone farm campus as well as through community partners conducting wildfire resilience work in high need areas of sonoma county. Srjc also offers shone farm—with its pastures, oak woodland, mixed hardwood forest, riparian areas, vineyards, row crops, orchards, and buildings—as a demonstration site for community workshops on fire safe land management practices, delivered in conjunction with the county and nonprofit partners.
