Abundant Grace Apostolic Church There are three main reasons why we need pastors: first, pastors bring us the word of god; second, pastors encourage us in our walk with christ; and third, pastors equip us to do ministry. it should not surprise us that each of these needs corresponds to a provision from christ. Pastor steve hannett is the lead pastor of abundant grace church, based in rutherford, nj. we are a church that gathers on sundays and in house churches throughout the week. We are a conservative baptist congregation rooted in the unshakable truth of god’s word. our mission is to pursue the lord wholeheartedly—leaving behind the ways of the flesh and striving for a life that reflects his holiness. we don’t water down the gospel to fit culture or convenience.

Abundant grace church is committed to ministering the life of god to those who are bound to addictions, oppressed with sickness, winning the lost to jesus christ, and equipping the saints of god through preaching and teaching the reality of the redemptive work and purpose of jesus christ. Our church was formed by believers who were in need of a place to worship and serve god on the seventh day sabbath. built on a foundation of prayer and the word of god, members would gather together each week to fellowship and have church services in the living room and dining room of our pastor. When called to start this ministry, pastor freeborn ukpede asked god for a church without walls and limitations with a simple goal in mind: help people connect with god and one another in a church without letting structures and programs get in the way.
