Like b trees, r trees are suitable for large data sets and databases, where nodes can be paged to memory when needed, and the whole tree cannot be kept in main memory. I don't really get the anxiety, but if i go without the trees for a while, i get very easily agitated from about 48 72 hours. the world just seems to be a little more abrasive without mj to take the edge off.
