Sorry I Haven T Been Posting After taking an unplanned year long break from instagram, i’m finally sharing what really happened behind the scenes. this post is a personal look at burnout, quiet growth, and why i might be coming back (with a better plan). The truth is, i’ve been moving through a lot these past few weeks — physically, emotionally, spiritually. i've been sick off and on, which forced me to slow down, but it also gifted me a deeper reflection on my own personal growth and sense of worth.
Why I Haven T Been Posting Youtube I know it’s been a long time since i last posted, and i just wanted to take a moment to explain why i’ve been absent. i don’t like disappearing without a word, but honestly, life has been. When i initially started blogging circa 2010 i was quite conscious of what i’d write, second guess myself and delete almost finished drafts. the only tip for this one is to power through. that’s. Like so many of us, i started using social media about 10 years ago to share my life and work. but nearly a year ago, after my youngest son told me i was on my phone too much, i took a break from social media for a week. i started by keeping my phone in my purse when we went to restaurants. In other words, i was lying to myself. heavily posting and engaging with others on instagram was not good marketing for me. it was a distraction masked as marketing. so i deleted the app from my phone. i gave my team the social media keys, and let them take on a lot of the heavy lifting.
Why I Havent Been Posting Youtube Like so many of us, i started using social media about 10 years ago to share my life and work. but nearly a year ago, after my youngest son told me i was on my phone too much, i took a break from social media for a week. i started by keeping my phone in my purse when we went to restaurants. From a photographer's perspective, i wanted to stop and ask whether instagram was truly serving me—which is why i stopped posting for a full year. after stepping back, i started asking serious questions and analyzing my attitude towards the app. I haven’t posted in two weeks, and for some, that might seem like a long time to go silent. but i needed the break. i needed the space to breathe, regroup, and remind myself that activism is exhausting, and that sometimes, stepping back is necessary for survival—both as an activist and as a person. I never planned to stop posting to instagram, but after being pummeled by a massive hurricane and a tragedy in my family, instagram became far less of a priority. Hi, so i had an illustration account but i haven’t posted anything in a year because i was really busy doing something else. in the meantime i started a new account for this new thing i was doing and was even able to get to over 10k followers in one month (this is important for my next point).
