Why Does Designer Display The Same Item Differently When It S Copied Lately i've realised one bizarre situation: if i pick an object i have drawn [left], duplicate it and flip it, why does it appear differently? should it not be literally exactly the same pixel for pixel?. When copying and pasting objects across autocad drawings, their assigned linetypes display differently. spaces may be further apart, closer together, or completely missing (solid linetype).
How To Resolve Display Issues In Designer If the old block is already in the drawing, when you copy paste the new block (assuming they are both named the same), autocad is just going to use the block that is already in the drawing. instead, try using the insert (or classicinsert) command to add the new block to the drawing. As i observed, an item within the drawing was copied using the edit copy & edit paste method. when pasted, it comes in as an entirely different block, however oriented the same as the original block. the block used for demonstration had a unique name.
