I Made Map Fandom From locations to timelines to character guides to diagrams: there’s so many unique ways you can use maps to enhance the way you document your fandoms! in fact, we wanted to celebrate a handful of communities that are using interactive maps in different ways. A full list of things you can do with the maps extension as well as the codes and examples you need to make your maps presentable are available here on the mapping site. Fandom implemented a map feature called wikia maps in 2014, and gamepedia had ip specific solutions for interactive maps, as well. however, wikia maps was retired a short time later, and gamepedia’s maps were never centralized into one tool. Mapsextended runs on both map namespace pages, and pages with one or more embedded maps. it will not run in the interactive maps editor, but does function in the regular source editor, and will handle live previews correctly.
