Home Cise Alert Cise seeks to further enhance and promote information sharing between authorities from seven different sectors (maritime safety and security, fisheries control, border control, law enforcement, customs, defence, and marine environment), involved in maritime surveillance. The common information sharing environment cise is a network that connects systems of european and eu eea member states authorities with responsibility in maritime surveillance.

Home Cise Alert Currently cise connects 15 nodes from different ms and eu organisations and links systems and ms public authorities covering all the 7 different maritime sectors. Practical guide for joining the cise network organisational, financial, technical and operational aspects to be considered when planning the connection to cise. The first trial was implemented by the cise alert consortium in april 2024 and demonstrated how #cise can be used by the member states in operations against illegal trafficking at sea. The cise alert project is an initiative involving 6 eu member states (france, bulgaria, greece, italy, slovenia, portugal) and 2 associated countries (finland, the netherlands), aiming at fostering the effective use of cise for information exchange in maritime surveillance operations at sea.

The cise alert project is an initiative involving 6 eu member states (france, bulgaria, greece, italy, slovenia, portugal) and 2 associated countries (finland, the netherlands), aiming at fostering the effective use of cise for information exchange in maritime surveillance operations at sea. Cise is not a new system. cise is an infrastructure that enables the sharing of information among stakeholders systems based on standard service through a decentralised architecture. Project cise alert – towards operational cise. on the 10th of april 2025 cise alert project held its final event in rome, marking the wrap up of the project activities. The event marked a significant milestone for the cise alert project, during which several use cases were executed addressing maritime surveillance activities at sea. the cise alert project was initiated in november 2022 to support the transition of cise to its operational stage. Cise alert project intends to launch the common information sharing environment (cise) as an operational tool to increase cooperation of the eu actors involved in maritime surveillance missions.
