Bite2go kits contain two days’ worth of food for breakfast, lunch, and a snack. these prepackaged weekend food kits are kid friendly, healthy, require no preparation, and are shelf stable. Imagine trying to learn on an empty stomach this is the daily reality for countless children across washington. with children throughout washington experiencing chronic hunger and food insecurity, second harvest developed the bite2go program to bring meals to the students who need it most. More than 174 local businesses, faith communities, and other organizations have signed up to adopt a bite2go school, providing donations to help close the food gap for children in our community.

Trevor Kinkade Design Added A New Trevor Kinkade Design Imagine trying to learn on an empty stomach this is the daily reality for countless children across washington. with children throughout washington experiencing chronic hunger and food insecurity, second harvest developed the bite2go program to bring meals to the students who need it most. More than 174 local businesses, faith communities, and other organizations have signed up to adopt a bite2go school, providing donations to help close the food gap for children in our community. For some, school provided meals may be their only source of nutrition. bite2go, operated by second harvest, provides weekend food kits to thousands of students identified as food insecure. In response, second harvest has launched a new program aimed at putting food into the hands of kids in need. today, we visited the program to see how it's working. at two locations each friday,. That program, bite2go, which started in 2013, has grown to include roughly 160 businesses, nonprofits, and churches that have adopted 122 schools in spokane and stevens counties and supplies weekend meal kits to more than 6,200 students. In partnership with at the core, bite2go provides children with a mix of easy to open, single serving, nutritious, nonperishable food items for meals and snacks over the weekend during the school year.
