Weekly Robotics 277 This paper presents a snake robot that not only has 11 actuated joints but also can sense the forces in the environment with tactile sensors. the authors use hierarchical reinforcement learning (hrl) to control the snake robot, taking into account the tactile information. Weekly robotics newsletter stay up to date on state of the art robotics, drones, space, open source projects and research.

In this post i’m describing the project in detail and discuss how it’s been working so far. my goal for weeklyrobotics is for it to be a robotics content aggregator, where i handpick ~7 robotics related links every week. the links that i pick are chosen very subjectively. This paper presents a flying crawling quadrotor. the robot has four motors that are enabled when in flying mode, but when in crawling mode, only the rear motors are used, and a timing belt transfers the torque to the front wheels, making it four wheel drive. If you'd like to receive a technical newsletter every monday about robotics, drones, space technology, and more, sign up for the newsletter from mateusz sadowski, aka weekly robotics. Roboweek inspires students of all ages to pursue careers in robotics and other stem fields. our goal is to inform students about robotics events in their area so that they can discover their passions through hands on experiences. check out our events page.
