Water Temp Too High R Watercooling I'm new to water cooling and recently built my first water cooled pc a couple of weeks ago. when my pc is idle, my coolant temp stays at 36 c with my cpu temp at 41 c and when i'm playing games, the cpu usually is between 55 c and 60 c, while my coolant temp is at 50 c. You can also check to see if your fans are set high enough to disperse heat properly from your radiator. this can be done in either your bios or any software available by your motherboard or.

Build Complete With High Water Temp R Watercooling Since installing the water cooling i have noticed under stress, the gpu reports rather high temperatures. on idle its around 34c but almost instantly jumps to 85c and stays there. Hi ladies and gents, i would like some insight into my water loop that i'm not able to resolve via normal research. my 7700k is hitting 65c under gaming load in a custom water loop. I don't care really how high temps get under load as long as they don't slowly increase over time until they get too hot. you want enough rad fan so that it can keep a stable temp under load. All components in your circuit don't care how high the ambient temperature is, the maximum temperature is what counts for them. if you have an ambient temperature of 50°c it doesn't matter how good your delta t is, your pump or tubes will most likely be damaged.

The actual ptc ntc probes are usually pretty accurate but if your circuitry isn't good then your temperature readings are going to be off (if you use resistors with a high tolerance then you really need to calibrate the probe with a known temperature to get a accurate reading). I built my new system in january but have seen a number of posts recently that make me think my water temps are too high. my main concern is silence rather than absolute cooling but if i can make it run quieter, that would be nice. The issue was my block was mounted way too tight and when i repasted it today, you could see the cpu ring around the bottom of the block so it was way too tight and couldn't transfer heat well. Always water temp your components will cool as the water takes the heat away. if you set it for gpu for example the fans won’t ramp up under cpu intensive loads.
