Warwick School Extended Project Qualification The extended project qualification focuses upon helping pupils acquire the skills needed for independent learning. it provides an excellent preparation for future studies and enhances learning in other a level subjects. While many applicants benefit from undertaking an extended project qualification (epq) we recognise that not all schools offer this opportunity and as a result we do not take it into account when assessing applications for offer. we also do not make reduced offers on the basis of an epq.

The epq is a process based qualification where students have to plan, research, develop, realise and reflect on a project of their own devising, and the presentation forms an integral part of their assessment. The study focuses on a specific example of a level 3 learning programme, the extended project qualification (epq) which is designed to offer students an extended opportunity to develop and demonstrate project management and research skills through creation of a project tailored to reflect their personal needs, aspirations and preferences. Epq is an a level standard standalone qualification designed to extend and develop your students' abilities beyond the a level syllabus and prepare for university or their future career.
