Held twice a year—spring and fall—at the physical activities complex (pac), convocation is a proud tradition where graduates wear academic regalia, take the stage to receive their diplomas, and hear inspiring words from university leaders and honourees. It’s time to celebrate your hard earned engineering degree with your classmates at an interactive virtual celebration. we are also committed to ensuring this cohort will get to walk across a stage and have the full convocation experience when it is possible to do so. Convocation is cancelled but they haven’t announced it yet. i hope the delay in announcement means that they are trying to come up with some form of alternative. In the event that convocation must be rescheduled, any costs incurred for travel will not be covered by the university of waterloo. registration to attend is mandatory for grads and their guests.
