Against this backdrop, age forward 2030 challenges cities and communities to prepare for a new era of economic growth, inclusion, and resiliency. it seeks to meet city leaders where they are today and implores them to focus on the realities of tomorrow. Several efforts are under way to standardize the way city level data is collected and to systematize the ways cities are measured and compared. the sustainable development goals (sdgs) are an important driving force behind this momentum: organizations such as the oecd, un habitat, the world council on city data and the sustainable development.
