Unsw Smart Campus Project In this paper, we describe our journey (admittedly still in its early days) towards the realization of a smart campus in a large university with over 50,000 students; 10,000 staff; and nearly 100 acres of real estate. Unsw proposes to undertake a transformative redevelopment of its student accommodation precinct to meet growing demand, relieve pressure on the local housing market and enhance the on campus residential experience. These projects aim to deliver contemporary and culturally safe living options for students and improve parking access and safety for staff, visitors, and the surrounding community. the below map shows the two proposed sites within the unsw campus. The project will improve campus accessibility and environmental sustainability, while providing dynamic spaces for partnerships and collaborations, and a vibrant campus life for students, staff and visitors.
