Under The Waves Nme In those moments, when i’ve envisioned my own doom, i let my mind dive under the wave so it washes over me. in that brief moment of calm, i realize there’s actually nothing wrong at all. Sailing through the air on top of a wave instead of always swimming beneath it. i think many times in my life, i’ve felt like this turtle. i see someone who’s doing something that looks absolutely amazing and then wish i had their particular skill or talent.

After suffering a near fatal attack by two other dogs, trips to the beach became a form of rehab for the little guy. and this soon led to well, actually surfing, as a form of therapy. now, of course, that has turned into a passion and this pup from san diego has become quite a star. For day 24 of world watercolor month and our optional prompt of “wave,” i made a sketch of a conch shell surrounded by gentle waves. there’s just one week left of the month, and i hope that everyone who has been painting along with me is having a fabulous time!.
