The students worked on projects geared toward deep space exploration and bringing humans closer to having a presence on the moon. all three students were awarded internships through the nasa miro center for in space manufacturing: recycling and regolith processing at uic. Yayue pan and other uic researchers will launch a nasa research center for in space manufacturing, specializing in in space recycling and using available materials to support sustainable space exploration.
