Tym Disaster Tractor Forum This is a general message to anyone out there interested in buying a tym tractor. this is not against any particular dealer but an indictment of tym as a brand and how they treat their customers and dealers. That tractor was serial #00009, which i imagine puts it in early production category even though my dealer had to order it in october 2019. after my first report of this problem to my dealer, i waited two months with no action before asking if anyone was going to do anything.

This is my first tractor and i’m wondering if there is anything i should be aware of. i feel that the dealer did a great job of explaining to me what the machine is and isn’t capable of, but would still like to hear from other owners. They agreed to fix the tractor again but will not reimburse me for the 52 hours i lost over the past 6 months transporting the tractor back and forth for repairs. All the plastic parts on the 450 are seriously damaged from uv and we simply stopped buying front clips because they last at best a year or two before the plastic breaks from lifting the hood. I read somewhere recently about a tym owner that had a couple of dpf errors pop up, and on his 2nd visit to the dealer, the tech drilled a few "pressure relief holes" in the guts of the dpf, and it's been smooth sailing since then.
