Treating Dairy Processing Wastewater
Dairy Processing Wastewater In this review article, it is briefly discussed about the processes in the dairy industry and work done in such processes, amount of wastewater and, major sources of wastewater as well as the harmful effects of wastewater on the environment. This comprehensive review examines the drawbacks and benefits of conventional methods employed in dairy wastewater treatment and explores the utilization of membrane technology as an alternative to these approaches.
1 Biological Treatment Dairy Processing Wastewater Images Stock Photos This study investigated the effectiveness of chemical coagulation and photo fenton processes for dairy wastewater treatment (dwwt). the study was conducted in two batch phases. in the first phase, polyaluminum chloride (pac) was used as a coagulant. in the second phase, the photo fenton process using two uv lamps (16 w and 55 w) was performed on the coagulation effluents. this combined. The food processing sector, particularly dairy, not only ranks among the highest in water consumption but also produces significant quantities of sludge from biological treatment processes. Water tecnik designs and delivers advanced dairy wastewater treatment systems and sludge dewatering solutions tailored to milk processing plants, cheese manufacturers, yoghurt producers, butter facilities, and powdered milk operations. In figure 1 a commercial sewage treatment plant is shown for the aerobic biological cleaning of wastewater from milk processing. the water arrives via a grease and sludge trap in a mixing and equalising tank, where daily peaks are smoothed out and the ph value can be adjusted as required.
