In this article, we aim to provide a comprehensive, systematic and up to date review of tod research achievements and challenges. we start by presenting the tod concept, framing it in the theory of urban planning, and by describing the different typologies of tod proposed in the literature. These results indicate that differences in policy approaches in the two regions with similar urbanization and socio cultural contexts influence the evolution of transport infrastructure and tod areas development. A mix of expertise examined the challenges and learnings to provide recommendations on unlocking the potential of transit oriented communities. this report provides a summary of the insights gathered.
