The healthy chicago zones initiative is a citywide health equity strategy led by the chicago department of public health (cdph) and supported by partners like west side united. What would chicago look like when black, brown, indigenous and asian people come together to acknowledge our truth, center our healing and build solidarity based on mutual respect and love?. Bhc grant funding has been awarded to 52 cook county organizations (39 for suburban cook county and 13 for the city of chicago) to prevent and control the spread of covid 19, lessen the pandemic’s health, social, and economic impacts, and address covid 19 health disparities.
