Worst Dvd Covers Page 2 Dvd Talk Forum All my dvd rs have been stored vertically in cases in a cool dry place for the last 20 years. due to lack of storage space i've started moving my dvd rs from cases to (high quality) paper sleeves. which is when i noticed that some of the dvd rs had some very odd damage. (see attached photographs). These clear and brittle plastic cases are awful. they're made from multiple parts held together by tiny nubs and the power of prayer. one short drop and they crack or shatter. i'd say about 50% of the jewel cases i ever owned had some sort of crack or broken parts. What the hell has taken over dvd case makers to replace a known and tested design with this flimsy excuse for a dvd holder?. I'm the king of procrastinators, but every now and then i actually follow through on one of my threats. this time it was my longstanding threat to get rid of the dvd and blu ray cases that have been taking up so much room in my relatively small apartment. It wins my vote for all time worst packaging (i'm sure one even worse will come along shortly). i could list about two dozen others but i think it's more interesting just to pick the all time worst and highlight it. The only minor snag is that some discs don't have the name of the movie printed on the surface, so browsing through the case creates a few confused looks. the worst culprits are the double sided discs where there isn't even picture to give you a clue what the film is.
