The Starfish Foundation Helping Students One Student At A Time When the opportunity arose for our founders to help teens in their own city who faced similar circumstances, the starfish foundation was created to help those students in need. The starfish foundation was founded in 1998 as the starfish center in madison, wisconsin with the mission of promoting individual empowerment, wholeness and personal growth in a safe, inclusive community. The starfish foundation, inc. provides scholarships and guidance to high school students in extreme poverty who wish to continue their education, encouraging and inspiring them to reach. Helping under privileged people overcome their individual challenges to succeed in life and reach their full potential. empowering individuals by creating pathways to opportunity and brighter futures. strengthening communities by fostering growth, connection, and prosperity.

The starfish foundation shares the gospel with those who have little opportunity to hear it and empowers the unfortunate to help themselves through education, training, and other services. Every day we help orphans, victims of abuse, survivors of trafficking, indigenous children, at risk youth, and refugees break their cycles of abuse and poverty. we do this through technology based education, job training and job placement assistance. over 90% of our students achieve positive outcomes through our programs. Starfish foundation board members assign staff to research and propose 501 (c)3 charitable organizations to support. the board will select organizations whose values and goals align with ours.
