Home We Save Lives New and better health tools and technologies—including vaccines, drugs, diagnostics, and devices—are needed to save lives and improve health around the world. research and development (r&d) has been the bedrock of many global health successes. Path modeled the impact (in lives saved) of 11 emerging innovations—such as devices, drugs, and systems services— to illustrate how scaling up coverage can significantly reduce maternal, newborn, and child deaths. For 40 years, path has improved health and saved lives. path recently released the innovation count down 2030 report, which identifies 30 key global health innovations. By integrating protection into durable solutions planning, humanitarian and development actors lay the groundwork for long term social cohesion, economic inclusion, and national stability.

Here are some of the currently underfunded hidden gems we’ve identified — high impact, scalable solutions with the power to change millions of lives. from safe water to newborn and adolescent health, the possibilities are unparalleled — if we can act now. Global and humanitarian health impact pathways consist of multiple well understood stages: setting strategic and policy priorities, scientific discovery, solution development, industry efforts, harnessing delivery systems and meaningful policy and public engagement. yet it is in the transitions between these stages that progress is often lost. this commentary argues that breakdowns at ‘baton. How can we end the global food crisis? a coordinated effort across governments, financial institutions, the private sector and partners is the only way to end the global food crisis. in countries such as somalia, the international community came together and managed to pull people back from the brink of famine in 2022. political and diplomatic solutions are needed to strengthen peacebuilding. There is a large and growing evidence base demonstrating that housing first is an effective solution to homelessness. consumers in a housing first model access housing faster and are more likely to remain stably housed.
