Midas Project Since the midas project got rolling this summer, with less than $25,000 (and volunteer support), we've: co led a petition against openai concerning the slow abandonment of their original safety and nonprofit mission. created a platform for digital activism concerning ai safety, with around 60 users. Our findings show that openai, google, xai, and anthropic have all recently evaded, ignored, or weakened their safety commitments to keep pace. a regulatory regime built around self authored rules.
