The Borgen Project Bekaab Your summer vacation is the best time to get involved with big and exciting projects. this summer, i decided to apply for an internship at the borgen project, a non profit organization fighting to reduce global poverty. it is based in tacoma, washington, but also has sectors in canada and the uk. The borgen project believes that leaders of the most powerful nation on earth should be doing more to address global poverty. the 501 (c) (3) nonprofit is an innovative, national campaign. With nothing more than a laptop and a budget scraped together from his alaska paychecks, the borgen project was born. what started as a one man initiative has since blossomed into a national campaign with supporters operating in 2256 u.s. cities. The borgen project aims to tackle global poverty. the belief is that tackling this massive concern will impact other global issues, such as public health, overpopulation, and national security, as well as creating more jobs for the future.
