Gis Day 2025 Hu Summits November 12 @ 3 pm | texas digital library’s pre gis day 2025 we are accepting proposals from any aspect of gis and or mapping and no idea is too small or too large. The gis (geographic information systems) interest group gathers both experts and newcomers to the field of gis. founded in 2020 by michael shensky (ut austin), the group ratified a charter and formed several subcommittees to work collaboratively on projects. As we mark this milestone, we celebrate our collective progress towards essential, equitable, and sustainable infrastructure for libraries and cultural memory organizations. Enjoy hands on interactive sessions and demonstrations granting technical experience in gis real world applications; from resume writing and help, to coding sessions from professionals.
