Tethered Cord Release

I am in the market for a new saddle. I currently have a phantom and I've enjoyed it but looking to move to a pleated saddle. Building on this, i was able to get my hands on an XC and I tried it out today. It's definitely more comfortable than the phantom but one thing I didn't like was where the leg straps...

I have the Phantom now but been hearing great things about the Cruzr xc. Tethered Rope Size - saddlehunter.com. I see they offer two popular sizes, 8mm, and 11mm, what are people’s thoughts on tether rope diameter? Equally important, i would be more comfortable with 11mm myself.

I hunted before with 3 long hawk sticks, which I didn’t care for back then and still looking for an alternative or... It's important to note that, hanging a fixed platform or treestand with chains/cables instead of .... And I have to mention, if you aren't hanging stands with a saddle and tethered (instead of using the lineman's belt) you are missing the boat. With a tether, you can sit back and rest if need be, prune, scrutinize the position, etc.

I am looking at XOP Mini Sticks in a 3 pack They are 22" in length. I am new to tree stand hunting so before I jump into doing any more advanced maneuvers and stuff like one sticking I am planning on just getting comfortable going up and down and setting up a hang on tree stand.
