Yale Infant Mind Cognition Lab Her research spans comparative cognition, neuroscience, and developmental psychology. outside the lab, catherine is involved in ornithological research and enjoys rock climbing, traveling, and wildlife photography. I joined the lab in spring 2025 due to my interest in infant development and its impact on adult development. outside the lab, i work as a medical scribe and volunteer with texas health, crisis text line, and red cross.

Here at the infant cognition lab we are interested in understanding the baby's developing mind; particularly investigating infants' memory, attention, and categorization. We are a developmental research team directed by dr. david rakison, a professor at carnegie mellon university. we are interested in how infants learn to view the world around them. I am a researcher at slover linett audience research and an alumna of the infant cognition lab. in my current work, i bring together my training as a developmental psychologist and work as a labor organizer, focusing on issues of fairness, access, and equity.

Yale Infant Mind Cognition Lab We are a developmental research team directed by dr. david rakison, a professor at carnegie mellon university. we are interested in how infants learn to view the world around them. I am a researcher at slover linett audience research and an alumna of the infant cognition lab. in my current work, i bring together my training as a developmental psychologist and work as a labor organizer, focusing on issues of fairness, access, and equity. In yale infant mind and cognition lab we study how babies and children quickly learn about the physical and social world, and become able to think and talk as we do. Research conducted in the infant cognition lab focuses on object knowledge, the aspects of this knowledge that infants possess very early and those that are acquired more gradually, and the mechanisms that support knowledge acquisition during the first year. The infant mind and cognition lab at yale studies logical cognition and its development, with a focus on preverbal infancy and expanding to young children and adults. The infant learning project is an academic research laboratory at the university of texas at dallas. our mission is to discover new information about how babies process speech and facial expressions, as well as how babies may remember specific experiences during the first year of life.
