Becker Lab Home She joined dr. becker’s lab as an undergraduate research assistant in the spring of 2023. she is working on projects related to renal sensory nerve activity during high salt diets. Their varied backgrounds, training, and expertise combine to create an exceptional team of scientists. seven faculty members are recognized by ut southwestern with endowed chairs or professorships.

Gallery Becker Lab Her phd research focuses on interactions between migration, urbanization, and infectious disease dynamics in songbirds. Her laboratory has pioneered synthetic biology, chemical genetics and live cell imaging techniques to study the functions and regulation of nanosized inter organelle membrane contact sites. inter organelle communication is important for cell homeostasis and responses to stimulation. The primary research project underway in the becker laboratory investigates interactions between the autonomic nervous system and blood pressure control and their contributions to diseases such as high blood pressure, heart failure, and kidney failure. He completed a postdoc at the university of minnesota in the lab of marc jenkins, where he studied cd4 t cell mediated immunity to tuberculosis. he joined stony brook university as an assistant professor in october 2025. outside of research, dr. becker is an avid musician and animal lover. Our offices, research facilities, and laboratory space are located on ut southwestern's north campus, offering an up to date environment to perform important leading edge research. In this work, we extend these approaches to enable the comparison of a single hypothesis between multiple networks. we unveil several issues of naive approaches that potentially impact comparisons and lead to undesired results.
