Our research combines proteomics, bioinformatics, immunologic, biochemistry, and functional approaches to study the role of macrophages across a spectrum of diseases. Our mission is to enhance our understanding of the causes and consequences of animal behavior at the individual level and apply this knowledge to wildlife management, policy, and conservation actions that are both innovative and practical, and grounded in ecological science. Becker lab our research contributes to a better understanding of the factors governing regenerative neurogenesis and axonal pathfinding in spinal cord regeneration. we are using the zebrafish model to identify fundamental mechanisms in vertebrates with clear translational implications for cns injury and neurodegenerative diseases. Proline metabolism, redox enzymology, redox regulation of proteins and gene expression, substrate channeling in enzymes. the amino acid proline has multifaceted roles including carbon and nitrogen flux, protein synthesis, osmolyte balance, and stress protection. During her time at michigan, she was involved in physics laboratories and helped develop experiments in the department of physics. that, combined with her involvement in psychopathology courses and neuropsychology projects led her to working at the becker lab.
