Swarm Bots Project The goal of this project is the study of a novel design approach to hardware implementation for testing and using the capability of self assembling, self organising, and metamorphosis of robotic systems called swarm bots. The swarm bots project develops swarm bots using decentralized control inspired by social insect behavior. s bots can self assemble into swarm bots for complex tasks requiring cooperation and coordination. up to 35 s bots can work together to transport heavy objects in challenging environments. We intend to construct a swarm bot, that is, an artefact composed of a number of simpler, insect like, robots (s bots), built out of relatively cheap components, capable of self assembling and self organising to adapt to its environment. Swarm Bots Project We intend to construct a swarm bot, that is, an artefact composed of a number of simpler, insect like, robots (s bots), built out of relatively cheap components, capable of self assembling and self organising to adapt to its environment.
