Just thought i'd share here a video of my recently acquired swan demonstrates just one sound that the pope pre is capable of, this is lo mid boost and slight hi mid cut. I sent my swan for a setup this week at a co op where there are about a dozen luthiers. the guys there were blown away—said they'd never seen such a well built short scale bass. I was wondering if any of you had the chance to play on a swan custom basses, a luthier working in argentina. they released a lot of very interesting basses recently, that would fit the style i'm looking for. I recently got this bass in trade and love everything about it with the exception of it being a 6 string. every few years i try another 6er only to remind myself, "what are you doing dude, you're a 5 string guy".
