Sustainable Development Cluster Unops The cluster works jointly with the un, governments and other partners to implement explosive threat management projects, programmes and portfolios of every size, laying the foundations for peace and sustainable development. Within these core areas, unops aims to support a paradigm shift, particularly in relation to the role of an evidence based approach to infrastructure, as well as the transformational potential of. Unops sustainable development cluster supports the un secretariat and other partners by providing technology and grant management services, as well as support for development and special initiatives, to enhance global development and achieve the 2030 agenda. Thus, to support our partners to have the ability to use infrastructure development as a catalyst to achieve sustainable development, unops, in collaboration with partners, is developing a new suite of tools (sustainable) to support the achievement of sustainable outcomes.

Through our operations, we support the un family, governments and other partners in their efforts to achieve all 17 sustainable development goals (sdgs). working closely with the un system and beyond, we expand the implementation capacity of our partners to accelerate achievement of the sdgs. In 2024, unops worked on more than 1724 projects across 188 countries and territories. these initiatives, valued at more than $2.4b, advanced progress on 17 sustainable development goals (sdgs), thanks to the support of 202 partners. Unops provides practical solutions in infrastructure, procurement and project management. together with our partners, we support peace and security, humanitarian and development projects around the world – addressing urgent needs and helping shape a more sustainable, resilient and inclusive future.
