Surface Runoff Process Under Different Rainfall Patterns A Long Simulated rainfall experiments are often used to study the impact of rip patterns on surface runoff and soil loss, and different patterns, such as decreasing, increasing, rising falling and constant patterns, have been designed based on combinations of different rainfall intensities. Download scientific diagram | surface runoff process under different rainfall patterns (a) long duration low intensity rain; (b) short duration high intensity rain.

Surface Runoff Process Under Different Rainfall Patterns A Long Based on the “double turbulent sheet flow theory of a high steep slope” and the existing dispersed wave model, combined with rainfall experiments under mild slope conditions, the hydrodynamic parameter calculation processes in different rainfall intensities and different slope degrees were given. This paper delves into the influence of landscape types such as cultivated land, impervious surfaces, urban green spaces, and woodlands on the depth of surface runoff under various rainfall scenarios. It is essential to understand the characteristics of surface runoff generating processes under different heavy rainfall events in mountainous areas. the intensity and duration of precipitation play an important role in surface runoff processes. This effect, often referred to as capping, crusting or sealing, explains why in arid and semi arid areas where rainstorms with high intensities are frequent, considerable quantities of surface runoff are observed even when the rainfall duration is short and the rainfall depth is comparatively small.

Een extensiv studies have explored the intra event influences and associated responses to different surface cover types. in this study, long term in situ field observations of surface runoff, subsurface flow, e surf natural rainfall events were conducted from 2002 to 2012 in the red soil hilly region of southern f m. Rainfall patterns with low intensities and long durations created more subsurface flow in the grass and litter cover types, whereas rainfall patterns with high intensities and short durations resulted in greater surface flow over bare land. In this and the following three chapters, we will focus explicitly on the dynamic (transient, short time scale) hydrological processes that determine the partitioning of rainfall into runoff and infiltration and control the flow and chemical response of a catchment. In this study, we explored the relationship between rainfall and surface runoff across 82 watersheds on the loess plateau at different time scales and for different time periods.
